The GO Conference is a call to Action. It challenges us to take all the words we’ve heard, the prayers, the music, the people who’ve touched us, etc. and allow that to become flesh in us as intentional disciples.
There is an African proverb that says: “It is the heart that gives; the fingers just let go.” In 2020 see with new eyes, challenge your heart muscle, expand your outreach, dare to be a contemplative in action. That, Church, is genuine holiness!
A native of New Orleans, Sr. Judy Gomila is a Marianite Sister of Holy Cross. She holds a Master’s in Theology and Religious Studies from St. Paul University, Ottawa, Canada. Sr. Judy began her service to the Church as a classroom teacher, then as a Director of Parish Religious Education. Sister has ministered in the inner city, on the bayou, in the Alaska bush, Notre Dame Seminary, and for the Archdiocesan Propagation of the Faith. Her “go to” Scripture passage is Luke 1:45.
