As a Church, this is a time of great challenges but also immense opportunities as we proclaim the Gospel to a world less receptive to religion. It is by refocusing on our “first love” Jesus Christ (Revelation 2:4) and the call to holiness that we will grow as a Church of missionary disciples. Pope Francis tells us in his apostolic exhortation Gaudete et Exsultate that “we are all called to be holy by living our lives with love and by bearing witness in everything we do, wherever we find ourselves.”
