Although we are confronted with cultural hurricanes, HOPE endures. Pope Francis has reminded us that “Hope is both an anchor (cf. Heb 6:18-19) giving us security amid the storms of life, and a ‘sail’ driving us forward towards the safe harbor of eternal life.” Come along for a voyage that will help us to recognize God’s hand at work in the storms and the silence. Through Scripture, stories, and song, this presentation will inspire us, with the help of God’s grace, to GO! Build a Future of Hope! – Brian Butler
BRIAN BUTLER is the Executive Director and Co-Founder of Dumb Ox Ministries. Brian co-founded Dumb Ox in 2002 and went full-time in 2006. Before that, he served as the Associate Director for Youth Catechesis in the Archdiocese of New Orleans for two years, after spending five years teaching theology and coordinating campus ministry at the high school level. He is co-author of Theology of the Body for Teens (High School and Middle School Editions) as well as The Bible Thumper (vols. 1 & 2) and the director of the feature-length reality film, Mystery Trip. Brian’s bachelor’s degree is in Communications and he holds a Masters in Theology from Notre Dame Seminary School of Theology. He has over 15 years of youth ministry experience, and is a popular speaker and trainer around the country.
