Actions SPEAK Louder than Words- Inclusion for those with Difficulties Communicating

Through this interactive presentation, participants will focus on the inclusion of those who are non-verbal in meaningful inclusion in the church.  This program will provide essential resources & practical methods to build a foundation for communication, Catholic Identity development, expression, abstract concepts of Spirituality, unite everyone to be successful in educating those who are unable to communicate, and the opportunity to discover and fulfill the vocations God has for each one of us.

Certified Educational ASL Interpreter, oral interpreter, closed captionist, and advocate for the Deaf.  D.R.E. at St. Joseph’s Church in Patterson, Louisiana. Over the past 18 years she has been a catechist, retreat director, youth minister, music minister, and developed a deaf ministry. She is an advocate in a diverse spectrum of interpreting including judicial, medical,  and emergency response, participated in research for accreditation criteria for certification, worked as an interventionist.
