Catechesis and the Catechumenate

How do the four pillars of Christian formation from the RCIA weave together to form a catechetical process unique to catechumenal ministry, a process that can inspire all of our catechetical activity in the parish?

Mary Birmingham is the director of music, liturgy, and Christian Initiation at Ascension Catholic Community in Melbourne, Florida.  A graduate of St. John University’s School of Theology, Collegeville, Minnesota, with an Masters of Arts in Theology and Liturgy.  Mary is also a team member for the North American Forum on the Catechumenate and is a known presenter on a national and diocesan level in the areas of initiation, sacramental and liturgical catechesis across the United States and Canada.
