Engaging Parents in Sacramental Catechesis Part  1

We say it time and again, “How do we involve parents and families in catechesis?” Sacramental formation is a unique doorway to engage and involve families in the faith formation of their children. The question is how to get them through the doorway! Part 1 of this workshop will model what first parent gatherings (for Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation) would look like: how to set up the room, prayer table and content.

Shelly Bole grew up in the Central Plains of Oklahoma and Kansas. Her first ministry career was in Youth and Young Adult Ministry. After getting tired of sitting on the floor and not able to rebound from lock-ins, Shelly moved to playing with adults in Catechist Formation. Her degrees are from Newman University with a BS in Pastoral Ministry and a MTS in theology. Shelly has worked as the Director of Catechesis for the Diocese of Shreveport for the past five years.
