GO! Gulf Coast Faith Formation Conference
Catholic Faith Formation Conference in New Orleans
The Second Vatican Council offers the Church a radical vision of lay holiness rooted in the “secular genius” that is proper and peculiar to the lay faithful. While so much worthy emphasis has been placed on formation for priesthood, religious life and various forms of lay ecclesial ministry, there has been relatively little investment in forming the laity for their God-given baptismal mission to transform culture and society and become “secular saints.” I will share this vision with application.
Dr. Tom Neal presently serves as Academic Dean and Professor of Spiritual Theology at Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans, Louisiana. He has worked for twenty years in adult faith formation as a DRE, an Adult Faith Formation Director as well as serving as the director of a catechetical institute. He has led dozens of retreats, given hundreds of talks and have taught theology for 15 years. He received a Masters in Systematic Theology from Mount St Mary U. and a PhD in Religion from Florida State U.
