After graduating from Xavier University in 1994\, he went to Washington\, DC\, and received the Master of Divinity degree in 1999 from Dominican House of Studies. Miller completed pontifical degrees in theology at the Pontifical Universities of the Angelicum and the Gregorian\, obtaining her doctorate with a thesis in Catholic social doctrine at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in 2013.
